Looking forward to baron rating Adnams Triple Knot ale

Adnams seem to walk a fine line between brewing traditional regular ales and some more stronger (and dare I say more interesting) beers. The one that arrived today falls firmly into the latter category, a 10% Belguim Tripel in a cute looking swing-top touting 330ml bottle:

Adnams Brewery
  • Triple Knot - 10% Tripel 2015, inspired by the strong Tripel Ales brewed in Belgium, matured for six months and is full of floral, orange, honey, and biscuit notes
Look out for a baron rating for this Adnams ale soon, and a big thank you to Fergus (@Adnams) for sending it through to me!

Looking forward to baron rating Duvel Tripel Hop 2016

The samples have been drying up at Baron Towers with last week's baron rating night being almost the last of them. Luckily R&R Teamwork surprised me this week by sending through a bottle of the brand new Tripel Hop 2016:

So new the hop doesn't even have a name!

Duvel Moortgat Brewery
  • Duvel [baron rating 5/5] - 8.5% strong Belgian golden ale
  • Duvel Tripel Hop 2016 - 9.5% strong golden ale brewed with experimental hop #291, adding notes of fresh citrus, black pepper, lavender and roses to our traditional Duvel brew
Look out for 'baron ratings' of these beers soon, and a big thank you to Rupert from R&R Teamwork for sending these through to me!
