Looking forward to 'baron rating' Liverpool Organic ales very soon!

Source Deli in Ormskirk are holding a Liverpool Organic Meet The Brewer evening soon so Paul from Source Deli popped round last night with some samples for us to get the heads-up before the big night:

  • 24 Caret Gold - 4.3% 100% Brewer's Gold hops,orange citrus finish
  • Best Bitter - 4.3% hoppy beer with citrus notes
  • Honey Blond - 4.6% pale copper ale brewed with organic wild flower honey
  • ShipWreck IPA - 6.5% true India Pale Ale,intense citrus & powerful hop flavours
  • Syren's Abbey - 6.4% strong well hopped Belgian-style ale

First impression is that they do not have the most striking of labels. The 'Syren's Abbey' sounds interesting though.

I had a liverpool 24 carat gold over the bank holdiay (wedding) weekend. In a bar/pub/restaurent called the hub. it was a lovely golden (duh) ale with nice hop character, very drinkable.

Neil, I agree about 24 caret gold, I've had it on cask once and it was really good, lovely hoppy fresh ale.

Arn, looks can be deceiving with these ones as they are all good quality ales. I've had the ShipWreck IPA before and really liked it's assertive character.
