Looking forward to baron rating Beavertown & By The Horns ales

Some more lovely beers arrived this week from Ales By Mail, I'm not sponsored by them but sometimes I wonder if I should be! This is what was in the box this time:

two cans are better than one bottle? NEVER!
Beavertown Brewery
  • Bloody 'Ell - 7.2% blood orange IPA
By The Horns Brewery
  • 2 Tone - 4.5% London lager, unfiltered, unpasteurised & dry-hopped for maximum flavour
  • Flapper - 9% double IPA, punchy, extreme & raucous IPA. Hopped with Admiral, Cascade, Summit & Simcoe
  • Vintage 2014 - 11.5% barley wine, aged on Oak. This full bodied beast has been aged for 5 months in 3 different types of whisky barrels, then blended, bottle conditioned and then aged in bottle for further 5 months. Expect notes of raisiny sweet malt and a subtle spicy smooth finish
Look out for 'baron ratings' of these beers soon, and a big thank you to Paul Kruzycki from Ales By Mail for sending these through to me!

Come on then - have you not drunk (at least one of) the Bloody 'Ell's yet :-)
